Welcome to Wisconsin, Sammy!!

After hours of not progressing past 6 cm, the doc decided that it was time for us to get Sammy out. So, at 10:33 p.m. on May 24th, 2009, Samuel Paul DiPietro was born via a C-section. He was 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and 20 inches long. The Docs blame a big head (thanks to daddy) for the stall at 6 cm. We are blessed with a health baby, and want to thank all our family and friends for their prayers, support, and much needed help. Here are the first pictures of the little guy. The third one is of his first bath!

We are at the hospital!!

Hello to all our family and friends! At about 8:30 this morning, Annie's water broke! So, we rushed off to the hospital where we are now progressing slowly through early labor. We'll keep you posted and have pictures of Sammy D posted as soon as we can. Wish us luck!!

35 Weeks

Here I am at 35 weeks.  Only 5 more to go!  I still feel pretty good, although the swelling has started, the same time the warmer weather did, hmmmm......  getting up and down from any position isn't so fun, but I can still do it!  This picture was taken after two big laps at the dog park, the weather is beautiful and the walking feels good.  We are very excited to meet our little Sam, we can hardly wait.   Hopefully, the next few weeks will go quickly.  We can only hope!  

31 weeks- 9 more to go

Here I am at 31 weeks.  Only 9 more weeks to go until Sammy D arrives!  I didn't think I looked much bigger until we took these pictures, I think I was wrong.  I've been measuring a little on the big side at my last 2 doctor appointments, about 2 weeks or so.  Maybe he'll come a little early, we think Memorial Day would be nice......only time will tell!  Debbie flew in from Atlanta on Thursday night and she has gained a new best friend, Rocky, our yellow lab, or at least Rocky thinks she is his new best friend!  It's been great having her here with us!  

 I feel good and Derek has been an amazing supporter in every way.  He rubs my back when I need it and is patient when he gets awakened several times a night by my potty breaks!  In fact, he is busily assembling our new stroller and swing as I type this.  Our shower was yesterday and we are so thankful for all the wonderful gifts we received.  Thanks everyone!  

25 Weeks!

Here is Annie today at 25 weeks!  With plenty of time to go, she is getting concerned about what she'll look like in June!!!! YIKES!  Baby D is moving lots now and we are able to watch his acrobatics from the outside.  It is our new favorite pastime!  Derek has been calling him Sammy D now instead of Baby D.  We think we've narrowed down the name to Samuel Paul DiPietro, but we are still open to other ideas.  For now, we're practicing with how that sounds.

The "boys" are enjoying all the extra rest (and eating) time lately and are never far away!

Baby Bump

Here is a picture of Annie at almost 22 weeks.  It is certainly showing now!  Of course, we had to include a picture of our other "babies" too.  We are all doing well.   The baby seems to enjoy being head up and feet down, and his favorite pass time is kicking Annie's bladder!  Great!  We added a cute foot picture from our ultrasound last week too.  Gotta love baby feet!

It's a Boy!

Our 20 week ultra sound confirmed yesterday that we are having a Boy! And more importantly, everything looked normal and Baby D is a healthy little boy. Now comes the task of picking out the name! We thank all of our family and friends for their support, and we'll keep you posted on further details. (I'm in class right now......)
